Our Story: From Pasture to Plate
Welcome to Pasture to Plate and Two Sons & a Milk Cow, a family farm built on hard work, healthy living, family, and a deep respect for agriculture.
Our story didn't begin with a business plan. It began with two people who grew up around farming, fell in love, started a family, and eventually realized that the best way forward was to return to their roots.
Where It All Began
Trenton and Gabrielle met in 2012 in West Michigan, but farming had already been a part of both of their lives long before they met.
Trenton began farming at just 8 years old, raising everything from horses, cows, and goats to chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, pheasants, and even camels. His love for animals and farming has been a part of who he is from the very beginning.
Gabby grew up just west of Trenton near Lake Michigan. While she was raised along the lakeshore, her family roots were in agriculture, with a history of raising Angus beef cattle in the same community where Trenton grew up.
Gabby has spent 13 years working in healthcare, where caring for others has always been at the heart of what she does. That same compassion extends to her family, their animals, and the farm.
After starting their family and navigating the challenges of raising children and providing for their household, Trenton and Gabby began looking for a simpler, healthier way of life. In 2021, they made the move from West Michigan to Tennessee, bringing their love for family, farming, and a more self-sufficient lifestyle with them.
Today, Pasture to Plate and Two Sons & a Milk Cow are about more than raising food. They're about family, hard work, healthy living, and teaching the next generation to respect the land, care for animals, and know where their food comes from.
